Middle School Open

Major Force Lacrosse Middle School Open is for current 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th grade girls lacrosse players from Ohio, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia who are looking to advance their skills and better prepare to play at the high school level. The Open membership is an a la carte program that offers players the flexibility to choose which practices, tournaments, training days and camps they wish to participate in.

What's Included

6 summer practices, 2 fall practices and 2 regional tournaments included. Custom Under Armour uniform with reversible jersey provided to new members. Option to register for 3 to 6 tournaments, 2 team training days and 1 team camp for an additional fee.

Open 2020 Practice Details

Optional Summer and Fall practices will be held at the following locations:

  • Northeast Ohio players at John Carrol University in Shaker Heights, Ohio
  • Central Ohio players at Bevelhymer Park in New Albany, Ohio
  • Southern Ohio players at TBD in Cincinnati, Ohio
  • Greater Charlotte players at Winthrop University in Rock Hill, South Carolina
  • Greater Atlanta players at Roswell Area Park in Roswell, Georgia

Practice days and locations are subject to change based on availability and weather.

Open 2020 Tournament Details

Optional but included tournaments for Open players:

  • King of Queens summer tournament (TBD)
  • Midwestern War Games summer tournament (TBD)

Players have the option to waitlist and register for an additional fee:

  • #LaxisLife Lacrosse on June 20th-21st (2024, 2025 and 2026/27 graduates)
  • Laxin Out Loud on June 27th-28th (2024, 2025 and 2026/27 graduates)
  • The Grind on July 10th-12th (2024 and 2025 graduates only)
  • Mid Atlantic Showcase in November (TBD)
  • The Rivalry Challenge in November (TBD)
  • Primetime in November (TBD)
  • Lax Clash in November (TBD)
  • IWLCA Debut in November (TBD)

Tournament locations are subject to change based on availability and weather. Players are responsible for transportation and lodging. 

Open 2020 Camp Details

Players have the option to register for an additional fee:

  • Tier One Training Camp on June 15th-18th (2021, 2022 and 2023 graduates)
  • Dog Days of Summer in August (TBD)
  • Overtime Training Camp in December (TBD)

Camp locations are subject to change based on availability and weather. Players are responsible for transportation and lodging. For an additional fee, transportation will be offered to players attending Tier One. 

Fine Print

  • All membership fees are non-refundable and deemed final once payment has been submitted.
  • One custom Under Armour reversible jersey will be provided to new members only. Players are responsible for purchasing any additional or replacement jerseys.
  • Middle school players are prohibited from traveling without a parent or chaperone.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is expected of an Open player?

Open players are encouraged but not expected to attended all practices, tournaments, training days and camps. Open players have the flexibility to choose to attend any of the 6 summer practices, 2 fall practices and 2 regional tournaments included and have the option to register for 3 to 6 tournaments, 2 team training days and 1 team camp for an additional fee.

Do players need to tryout for Open?

Major Force Lacrosse is not a tryout club. All players at all skill levels have the opportunity to join.

Are Open players able to participate in other sports or lacrosse clubs?

Yes, players are welcome to participate in other sports or lacrosse clubs. However, players must be committed and rostered to play for Major Force Lacrosse only at any tournament where both club teams are participating.
